Robert Lewis

Mr Robert Lewis is a retired officer of General Electric Co. (US).  He currently is a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of EQT Infrastructure Fund. 

Mr Lewis received an undergraduate business degree from the University of Colorado in 1969 and a MBA from Boston University in 1973.  He spent two years in the US Army between his undergraduate and graduate work.

Mr Lewis is the former CEO and President of GE Structured Finance (GESF). As President of GESF for 15 years, he was responsible for building this industry leading global infrastructure investment organization with an asset base of over $24 billion with an annual net income of $600 million.  He led GESF to the completion of over 100 new investments each year totaling $6 billion of new global investments across all infrastructure sectors. Under his tenure GESF established a remarkable reputation for disciplined risk management, and specific industry and product expertise while delivering above average returns for its shareholder. The range of sectors served by this business included energy, telecommunications, transportation and heavy industry. Specific product expertise included project financing, leasing, secured lending and the provision of equity capital. In addition to participating in the US markets the business invested in companies and projects in Europe, Asia and Latin and South America. Mr Lewis was an officer of General Electric Co. (US).  He retired after 33 years with the company.
