René Kuijten

René Kuijten is Head of EQT Life Sciences and a Partner at EQT, based in the Amsterdam office. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Oncode Institute, which he co-founded, and advises the Dutch government on life sciences policy through Health~Holland. René joined LSP in 2001 and was Managing Partner there until 2022, when the firm joined forces with EQT and was renamed EQT Life Sciences. Prior to LSP, René worked eight years as a senior consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the firm's European Healthcare Practice. René holds an MD from Utrecht University, a PhD in Oncology from the University of Amsterdam based on research conducted as a WHO fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from INSEAD.
