Randall has been an Advisor to EQT since 2018.

Randall retired in May 2018 as Chairperson and CEO of Pentair. Prior to joining Pentair in 1998, Randall was president of United Technologies’ Carrier Transicold Division. Earlier, he held leadership roles at the Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies, and held progressively responsible leadership roles at General Electric and McKinsey & Company. Today Randall is Chairperson of the Board of nVent a global leader of inventive electrical solutions and a Member of the Board of Medtronic plc, plus Chair of the Audit Committee. He was previously the Chairperson of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and on the Board of Trustees of American Public Media Group & Minnesota Public Radio. He also formerly served as Chairperson of the Guthrie Theater.

Randall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas, Austin. He holds several awards incl. being named by Harvard Business Review as one of “100 Best Performing CEOs in the World” in 2014.
